For the ASTD 2010 ICE Participants, Chicago, May 15th - 19th 2010
Greetings, All!
I hope you enjoyed the ASTD conference sessions you attended and that you found a lot of useful and practical "take-aways" to use when you return to your jobs. If you feel so inclined, use this blog to share with all of us what you are doing with the concepts and strategies you collected at the conference. Cheers to you as you experiment with new ways of training, teaching, and learning! Sharon

I had a few big take aways this year. Dave Kurz gave a great blended learning approach using his faculty for "office hours" on-line to help teams form projects before whole group sessions. I also learned that when I make a business case, even the v.p. of sales is ballparking his forecast. We in training need to get a little more bold and less apologetic.
Hi Sharon,
I attended the ASTD conference and really enjoyed your session. I was an elementary teacher for 5 years before I became a training developer at a financial services company (SWBC). I am incorporating a version of the Myth/Fact activity into our New Employee Orientation! I have a question...I recall being able to check our answers as a group which created a lot of great energy. Would you recommend adding an answer sheet to each groups center materials? My only hesitation is if they try to look at the answers before completing the activity.
Your thoughts?
